Having a companion pass allows you to bring a companion along with you at no extra cost to cultural and recreational events and on transportation where the pass is accepted.
Description
If you are physically disabled, you can apply for a companion pass. The companion pass gives the person accompanying you free or discounted admission to a number of cultural and recreational events and certain means of transport. The pass is issued to you.
Criteria/conditions
There is no economic means test in connection with the application. Your eligibility does not depend on whether you receive social security benefits. The minimum age for applicants is normally eight.

The companion pass is free.

Administrative procedure
If necessary, we will obtain a statement regarding your need for a companion from a doctor, health care institution or the municipal department of health and social services. We will then come to a decision. You will normally receive an explanation together with the notification of the decision.
